BRIEF:

Renovation of a small house located in Tulum. This project was guided by simplicity and purposefulness. Our clients felt that their vacation home had a lot of wasted areas that didn’t live up to their potential. We decided on a modern tropical look that our clients call “Tulum Vibes”.  We keep a simple materials palette and worked side by side with local artisans to source furniture, rugs, fabrics, art and lighting fixtures.  We replaced exterior walls with floor to ceiling windows to bring in as much natural light as possible, and we doubled the exterior living space. Local plants were selected to create a lush backyard that feels almost like an extension of the local jungle.
